Common questions
When can I change my Medicare plan for 2027?
During the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, 2026. Changes take effect January 1, 2027. People in a Medicare Advantage plan also have January 1 to March 31 to switch plans or return to Original Medicare.
Why do the 2027 plans show 2026 star ratings?
CMS publishes star ratings in October. Until the 2027 ratings are loaded, each plan shows its contract’s 2026 overall rating, labelled with the year, so you can see the track record of the company running it.
Do I still pay the Part B premium with a $0 premium Medicare Advantage plan?
Yes. You keep paying your Part B premium (2026: $202.90 a month, or more with IRMAA) unless a program such as a Medicare Savings Program pays it for you.
Does this plan finder check my doctors and prescriptions?
Not yet. It shows premiums, out-of-pocket limits and drug deductibles from the CMS files. Lisa checks your doctors, pharmacies and prescriptions against each plan before you choose, at no cost to you.
Where do Coloradans enroll in ACA health plans?
Through Connect for Health Colorado, the state marketplace, not HealthCare.gov. Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027; enroll by December 15 for coverage that starts January 1. Lisa can help you compare and enroll.
