Licensing
Headwaters Health and Wealth LLC is an independent insurance agency licensed in Colorado for life, accident and health, and HMO lines. Insurance is offered by licensed agents, including Lisa Asmussen, Medicare Broker and Licensed Insurance Agent. Licensing details, including national producer numbers, are available on request.
What this means: you never have to take our word for it. Anyone can check whether an agent or agency holds an active Colorado license, and for which lines, using the Colorado Division of Insurance license lookup at Verify a License.
Business address: 992 South Fourth Avenue, Brighton, Colorado 80601. Telephone (303) 887-8584.
Medicare
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 10 organizations which offer 106 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
Headwaters Health and Wealth is not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program. Medicare has neither endorsed nor reviewed this information.
What this means: Medicare rules require agents to tell you that we only show the plans of the companies we are contracted with. There may be other plans in your county. Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE list every plan, and the Colorado State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) gives free, unbiased counseling at 1-888-696-7213. You are welcome to check our comparison against either one.
We are a private business. Medicare did not write, review or approve the guides on this site.
Health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado
Headwaters Health and Wealth is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of Connect for Health Colorado, HealthCare.gov, the Health Insurance Marketplace, or any federal or state government agency. Plan availability, premiums and advance premium tax credits are set by the carriers and the Marketplace.
What this means: Colorado runs its own marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado, and it decides who gets premium tax credits. We can help you compare plans and apply, but the marketplace and the carrier set the final price.
How agents are paid
There is no fee for our help. When you enroll in a plan through us, the insurance company pays the agency a commission. For Medicare plans, commission amounts are limited by federal rules. Your premium is the same whether you enroll through an agent, through the carrier or on your own.
What this means: you can ask us at any time which companies we are contracted with and how we are paid for a plan we suggest, and we will tell you.
Estimates and calculators
Estimates only. Figures on this page use published plan-year values and the details you enter. They are not a quote, an offer of coverage, or a determination of eligibility. Your final premium and any tax credit are confirmed at enrollment with the carrier or Connect for Health Colorado.
What this means: a calculator result is a starting point for a conversation, not a price. Your own figures can change once a carrier or the marketplace checks your income, county, age and tobacco use.
Plan data shown on this site
Plan names, carriers and premiums shown come from the CMS public files for the ZIP code you entered. Final pricing and eligibility are confirmed with the carrier at enrollment.
What this means: Medicare plan details on this site come from the public CMS Landscape files, which list every plan by county. They do not show which doctors are in a network or what your drugs will cost, so always check those two things for the plan you are considering.
Contacting us
This is a solicitation for insurance. Submitting information or calling the numbers listed on this website will direct you to a licensed agent.
What this means: if you send us your details or call, a licensed agent will contact you about insurance. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.
Final expense, supplemental and annuities
Final expense, annuity and supplemental products are subject to underwriting and carrier approval. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing company. Nothing on this site is tax, legal or investment advice.
What this means: the insurance company decides whether to offer you a policy and at what price, based on its own health questions. Any guarantee in a life policy or annuity depends on the financial strength of the company that issues it, not on a government program. We do not give investment, tax or legal advice.
Questions or complaints
If something on this site or in your dealings with us does not seem right, call (303) 887-8584 first and we will try to put it right. You can also contact the Colorado Division of Insurance, which licenses and oversees insurance agents in Colorado: file a complaint or ask a question.
Plan year
Medicare plan figures on this site reflect the 2027 contract year (CMS landscape files); federal Medicare amounts such as the Part B premium reflect 2026 until CMS publishes 2027 amounts; ACA figures reflect the 2026 plan year unless stated otherwise. Plan availability, premiums, networks, drug formularies and cost-sharing change every year. Always confirm current-year details before you enroll.

Common questions
Is Headwaters Health and Wealth connected to Medicare or the government?
No. Headwaters Health and Wealth LLC is a private, independent insurance agency in Brighton, Colorado. It is not connected with or endorsed by the United States government, the federal Medicare program, Connect for Health Colorado or any state agency.
For information on every Medicare plan in your area, use Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE. For free, unbiased Medicare counseling in Colorado, call the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) at 1-888-696-7213.
How do I verify an insurance agent's license in Colorado?
Use the Colorado Division of Insurance license lookup: on doi.colorado.gov, choose "Verify a License", which opens the state's consumer license search. Search by the agent's or agency's name to see whether the license is active and which lines of insurance it covers.
You can also ask us for Lisa Asmussen's national producer number and look it up yourself.
How is my information used?
Only to help you with insurance. Details you send through the contact form go to our agency so a licensed agent can reply. The calculators run in your browser and send nothing, and the plan finder sends only your ZIP code and answers, never your name. We do not sell your information or pass it to lead companies.
The Privacy and cookie policy explains what is collected, which cookies are used and how to change your choices.
Does it cost anything to use this site or to work with Headwaters?
No. The guides and calculators are free, and there is no fee for a plan review. Insurance companies pay the agency a commission when you enroll, and your premium is the same whether you use an agent or not.
